FMG’s iron ore shipments reach record in April-June

Australia’s Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), the world's fourth largest iron ore miner, shipped a record 46.5 million tonnes of iron ore globally over April-June, up by 78,000 tonnes or 20% on quarter and by 4.03% on year, according to the company’s latest quarterly report published on July 26. The June quarter performance brought the Perth-based company’s total fiscal 2018 shipments (July 2017-June 2018) to 170 million tonnes, some 2.2 million tonnes higher than in FY17, it said.
