BHP’s July-Sept met coal output drops 2% on year BHP’s metallurgical coal production fell 14% on quarter or down 2% on year to around 10.4 million tonnes over the July-September quarter, mainly because of the scheduled “maintenance across both port and mine operations”, according to the company’s latest quarterly report released on October 17.
