17 provinces, municipalities unveil steel capacity elimination plans for 2014
China's 17 provinces and municipalities had unveiled their 2014 outdated capacity elimination targets for pig iron, crude steel, coke, and ferroalloys as of May 31, altogether planning to wipe out 21.439 million tonnes of pig iron capacity, 20.575 million tonnes of steel capacity, 13.14 million tonnes of coke capacity, and 1.26 million tonnes of ferroalloy capacity.
