2015 steel market review and outlook: Crude steel output
China produced 803.82 million tonnes of crude steel in 2015, declining 2.33% or 19.18 million tonnes year-over-year. This was the first output decline in the past 34 years, which indicated that China's crude steel output had entered into peak volume. Meanwhile, demand for steel also slid due to macro economy and downstream industries slowdown, in this case, competition between steelmakers became more severe and steel price was pushed down continuously in 2015.
